Bybit Fees (October 2026): Spot and Futures Trading Fees, VIP Tiers and How to Pay Less

Updated October 2026 · ~4 min read

Bybit's standard fees are 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot and 0.02% maker and 0.055% taker on perpetual futures, and a fee rebate returns part of every fee you pay, so what you actually pay ends up below the list rate. Below are the standard rates, Bybit's VIP taker tiers, what $1,000,000 and $10,000,000 of monthly futures volume cost before and after a rebate, and the levers that bring the bill down.

Bybit fees at a glance

These are Bybit's standard (VIP 0) rates from its fee structure, checked on 12 October 2026. A maker order adds liquidity to the order book (a resting limit order); a taker order removes it (a market order, or a limit order that fills straight away). On spot, Bybit charges makers and takers the same 0.10%. On perpetual futures, the maker rate is 0.02% and the taker rate 0.055%. Fees are charged on the full notional of each fill, not on the margin you post.

Bybit VIP fee tiers (taker)

Bybit lowers the taker rate as your 30-day trading volume rises. The table shows the taker rate at each level, from Bybit's public fee page, checked on 12 October 2026. The futures and spot ladders use different thresholds: VIP 1 starts at $10M of futures volume but at $1M of spot volume. To reach VIP 4 or above through volume, Bybit also requires API trading to be no more than 20% of that volume. VIP status can also come from assets held, rates can vary by region, and the fee page in your own Bybit account is final.

What $1M and $10M of futures volume cost

Take a trader whose futures volume is all taker orders, and treat monthly volume as 30-day volume. Both volumes fall in Rebatly's Standard tier (below $50M a month), which returns 40% of the fees you pay.

$1,000,000 a month. This is below the $10M VIP 1 threshold, so the standard 0.055% applies: $1,000,000 × 0.055% = $550 in fees. The rebate is 40% × $550 = $220, so the net fee is $550 − $220 = $330, an effective rate of 0.033%.

$10,000,000 a month. At the standard rate, $10,000,000 × 0.055% = $5,500; 40% back is $2,200, leaving $3,300. Once your 30-day volume reaches $10M, VIP 1 applies: $10,000,000 × 0.040% = $4,000 in fees, 40% × $4,000 = $1,600 back and $2,400 net, an effective 0.024%. Rebatly's higher tiers start at $50M (45%) and $150M (50%) of monthly volume.

How to pay less on Bybit

Use maker orders on futures. A limit order that fills as a maker pays 0.02% instead of 0.055%. On spot it makes no difference, because Bybit charges 0.10% either way.

Climb the VIP ladder. The futures taker fee falls from 0.055% to 0.040% at $10M of 30-day volume and keeps falling from there; the spot taker fee starts falling at $1M.

Get a fee rebate. Sign up with the code REBATLY and Rebatly shares its affiliate commission with you as a rebate of up to 50% of your Bybit fees on spot and futures, tiered by monthly volume: 40% below $50M, 45% from $50M and 50% from $150M. It is paid daily, usually the next day between 04:00 and 12:00 UTC, in USDT by internal transfer to your Bybit UID, with a 1 USDT minimum. The rebate is a share of the fees you actually paid, so a lower fee rate also means a smaller rebate. Setup is in the Bybit referral code guide, and you can put your own volume through the Bybit fee calculator.
