Bybit vs Binance Fees: Which Is Cheaper After a Rebate?
At list price, Binance's futures taker fee (0.050%) is lower than Bybit's (0.055%), which is why most comparisons call Binance cheaper. That changes once you count what comes back: through Rebatly, Bybit returns up to 50% of your trading fees, by monthly volume, while Binance's referral program shares a cut only if the person who referred you chooses to. Below are both fee schedules as the exchanges' own pages showed them on 13 October 2026, the two token discounts, and what $1M a month of futures trading costs on each. Disclosure: Rebatly is a Bybit affiliate and has no Binance partnership.

The short answer
Spot: identical list prices (0.10% maker and taker on both), and both cut that by 25% if you pay fees in the exchange's own token. Futures: Binance is cheaper at list price for takers, 0.050% against 0.055%. After a Rebatly rebate on Bybit (40% at the standard tier, up to 50% at higher monthly volume), Bybit's effective taker fee drops to about 0.033% or lower. That is below Binance's 0.045% with the BNB discount, and below the 0.036% you would pay on Binance even if your referrer shared the 20% maximum that a Binance Learn page mentions.
Fees at list price (regular users)
Regular user is Bybit's VIP 0 and Binance's "Regular User" row. Futures means USDT perpetuals on Bybit and USDⓈ-M futures on Binance. Binance's USDC-margined futures currently show a promotional rate and are not used here.
| Bybit | Binance | |
|---|---|---|
| Spot maker | 0.10% | 0.10% |
| Spot taker | 0.10% | 0.10% |
| Futures maker | 0.020% | 0.020% |
| Futures taker | 0.055% | 0.050% |
Token discounts: MNT on Bybit, BNB on Binance
Both exchanges take a cut off your fees if you pay them in their own token. Bybit's help centre (updated 30 March 2026) lists a 25% discount on spot and 10% on futures when you pay in MNT; it does not apply to Pro-tier users, API orders, liquidations, trading bots or copy-trading followers. Binance's fee pages list 25% off spot and 10% off USDⓈ-M futures when you pay in BNB. Either way you need to hold the token, and its price moves.
| Bybit (pay in MNT) | Binance (pay in BNB) | |
|---|---|---|
| Spot maker / taker | 0.075% / 0.075% | 0.075% / 0.075% |
| Futures maker / taker | 0.018% / 0.0495% | 0.018% / 0.045% |
What a rebate changes: $1M a month of futures
Take $1,000,000 of futures volume in a month, all taker orders, at regular-user rates. On Bybit a Rebatly rebate is calculated daily from the fees you actually paid and sent to your Bybit account in USDT the next day: 40% at the standard tier, 45% from $50M and up to 50% from $150M of monthly volume. On Binance the referral rebate depends on your referrer: Binance's FAQ (updated 5 August 2026) says the referred user receives a rebate only if the referrer chooses to share it, and an undated Binance Learn page says up to 20%. We have not confirmed how Bybit's affiliate commission treats fees paid in MNT, so the table does not combine the MNT discount with the rebate.
| Route | Fees paid | Back to you | Net cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bybit, list price | $550 | $0 | $550 |
| Bybit + Rebatly rebate (40% standard tier) | $550 | $220 | $330 |
| Binance, list price | $500 | $0 | $500 |
| Binance, paying in BNB | $450 | $0 | $450 |
| Binance, BNB + referrer shares 20% | $450 | $90 | $360 |
Where Binance is the better pick
Binance lists far more spot pairs and has deeper order books on many of them. If you already hold BNB and trade mostly spot, the two cost the same after token discounts, and Rebatly cannot rebate Binance at all. For a referrer's kickback to make Binance futures cheaper than Bybit at the 40% rebate tier, it would have to exceed roughly 27% of your BNB-discounted fees, more than the 20% Binance's own Learn page mentions. Maker-heavy traders see the same ordering at smaller sizes: 0.012% effective on Bybit after a 40% rebate against 0.0144% on Binance with BNB and a 20% kickback.
Who can open each account
Binance.com's list of prohibited countries (updated 5 January 2026) excludes, among others, the United States, Canada and the Netherlands; Binance.US is a separate company. Bybit's restricted-jurisdictions page (updated 1 September 2026) excludes the United States, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada and others. Check both lists for where you live before opening either account.
VIP tiers change the math
Everything above is for regular users. Bybit moves you to VIP 1 at $10M of 30-day futures volume, where the taker fee drops to 0.040%. Binance's VIP 1 needs $5M of 30-day futures volume and a balance of at least 5 BNB, and cuts the futures maker fee to 0.018% while the taker fee stays at 0.050%. At high volume the comparison shifts, so see our Bybit VIP vs Pro fees guide and run your own numbers in the Bybit fee calculator.

FAQ
Is Binance cheaper than Bybit?
At list price for futures takers, yes: 0.050% against 0.055%. Spot list prices are the same (0.10%). After a Rebatly rebate of up to 50% on Bybit (40% at the standard tier), Bybit's effective futures taker fee is about 0.033% or lower, below Binance's 0.045% with the BNB discount.
Can Rebatly rebate my Binance fees?
No. Rebatly works with Bybit, OKX and Bitget only, and has no Binance partnership.
Does Bybit's MNT discount stack with the rebate?
We have not confirmed how Bybit's affiliate commission treats fees paid in MNT, so we do not promise it. Your rebate is calculated from the fees you actually pay.
Is Binance's 20% referral kickback guaranteed?
No. Binance's FAQ says the referred user receives a rebate only if the referrer chooses to share it. The 20% figure comes from an undated Binance Learn page.
Can I use both exchanges?
Yes, if you are eligible for both where you live; many traders route each trade to the cheaper venue. Note that both exclude the United States and Canada.
