OKX Fees (October 2026): Spot and Futures Trading Fees, VIP Tiers and How to Pay Less

Updated October 2026 · ~4 min read

OKX's Regular-tier fees are 0.08% maker and 0.10% taker on spot and 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker on perpetual futures, as its EU/UK fee page shows them, and a fee rebate returns part of every fee you pay, so what you actually pay ends up below those rates. Below are the rates, how they differ by region, OKX's VIP taker tiers, a worked example at $1,000,000 and $10,000,000 of monthly futures volume, and the ways to pay less.

OKX fees at a glance

These are OKX's Regular (entry-level) rates from okx.com/fees in its EU/UK view, checked on 12 October 2026. OKX's Regular rates vary by region: its Singapore page showed 0.10% maker and 0.20% taker on spot, twice the EU/UK spot taker rate. On spot, OKX charges makers less than takers; on perpetual futures, a maker pays 0.02% and a taker 0.05%. Fees are charged on the full notional of each fill, and the fee page in your own OKX account shows the rates that apply to you.

OKX VIP fee tiers (taker)

OKX lowers taker fees as 30-day trading volume rises. The table shows the taker rate at each level from OKX's public fee page, checked on 12 October 2026. The futures and spot ladders use different thresholds: VIP 1 starts at $5M of futures volume and at $1M of spot volume. The futures schedule listed here ends at VIP 6 (from $1B), so VIP 7 and VIP 8 are shown for spot only. VIP status can also come from assets held, rates can vary by region, and your own fee page is final.

What $1M and $10M of futures volume cost

Take a trader whose futures volume is all taker orders, and treat monthly volume as 30-day volume. Both volumes fall in Rebatly's Standard tier for OKX (below $50M a month), which returns 30% of the fees you pay.

$1,000,000 a month. This is below the $5M VIP 1 threshold, so the Regular 0.05% applies: $1,000,000 × 0.05% = $500 in fees. The rebate is 30% × $500 = $150, so the net fee is $500 − $150 = $350, an effective rate of 0.035%.

$10,000,000 a month. At the Regular rate, $10,000,000 × 0.05% = $5,000; 30% back is $1,500, leaving $3,500. Once your 30-day volume reaches $10M, VIP 2 applies: $10,000,000 × 0.036% = $3,600 in fees, 30% × $3,600 = $1,080 back and $2,520 net, an effective 0.0252%. Rebatly's OKX rebate rises to 35% from $50M and 40% from $150M of monthly volume.

How to pay less on OKX

Use maker orders. On perpetual futures a maker fill costs 0.02% against 0.05% for a taker. On spot the gap is smaller (0.08% against 0.10% on the EU/UK page), but it is there.

Climb the VIP ladder. The futures taker fee drops from 0.050% to 0.045% at $5M of 30-day volume and to 0.036% at $10M; the spot taker fee starts dropping at $1M.

Get a fee rebate. Sign up with the code REBATLY and Rebatly returns up to 40% of your OKX fees on spot and futures, tiered by monthly volume: 30% below $50M, 35% from $50M and 40% from $150M. It is paid daily, usually the next day between 04:00 and 12:00 UTC, in USDT by internal transfer to your OKX UID, with a 1 USDT minimum. The rebate is a share of the fees you actually paid, so a lower fee rate also means a smaller rebate. Setup is in the OKX referral code guide, and you can put your own volume through the OKX fee calculator.
